STABLES CLOSING AT END OF SEPTEMBER 2009. Please note change of date from August to September.

Elizabeth and Linda have decided to stop trading as Kingarth Trekking Centre at the end of August 2009.

Until then we will be running events as normal and Saturday and Sunday Club will run as normal.

PLEASE NOTE BUSINESS WILL RUN AS NORMAL UNTIL END OF SEPTEMBER FOR BOTH LOCALS AND TOURISTS.

All horses and ponies are for sale. Deposits can be made on any of the horses now with pony available for changeover of sale by end of August at the latest with balance payment due then.

All horses sold with tack and all are well used in riding school, out hacks, on road, beach, hill etc. Suitable for both novice and experienced riders, mother/daughter shares, etc.

Tillie - Approx 15.2 hh coloured 9 year old heavy weight mare. £3700 including tack.
Rosie - approx 14.2hh strawberry roan mare (mother of Tillie). 13 year old cobby mare. £1800 including tack.
Jade - approx 14.2hh coloured mare. 5 year old cobby type. £2300 including tack.
April - approx 13.2hh coloured mare. 13 year old sturdy type. £1400 including tack.
Charlie - 12.2hh grey gelding. Welsh mountain type 16 year old. £1000 including tack.
Blane - standing approximately 14 hh connemara cross grey gelding. 3 year old, unbroken but very well handled. Will make a super pony club pony type. £1200.
Pagan - standing approximately 12.3hh yearling colt (in september). Very handsome little man. £400.

Please note that a new Trekking Centre may start up after september if suitable premises can be found.

No buying on a whim for these ponies please. They have been with us a long time and first class homes only for them.

Saturday Saddle Club runs every Saturday with payment due the 1st Saturday of the month.

Details below of events so far arranged this summer.

£40 for 1 person riding every saturday with stable management the last saturday in the month.
£70 if 2 members of same family ride.

1/2 hour club for under 8 years. Cost is £25 per month.
£45 if 2 members of the one family ride.

Adults Only Club:
£50 to ride a day that suits every week of the month.

There is a £5 join up or rejoin up fee payable first month.

The last Saturday in the month will be for stable management and not riding. This is to ensure everyone learns the basics of stable management with an opportunity to work towards certificates.

All Trekking Centre staff have completed their Child Protection and Good Practice training and their Health and Safety First Aid at Work certificate.

New and second hand tack and equipment for sale in shop. All stock in shop greatly reduced as clearing out.

Day Rally Friday 7th August
Lessons with Susie Spears BHSII.
Double lessons in either the morning or the afternoon. Lessons can be flatwork, jumping or practice riding for the shows.

What specials can you do?:

Sunday morning ride at stables and lunch at Kingarth for an inclusive price of £20.

Pony birthday parties:
Your party have a ride or lesson at the stables and then on to Kinarth Hotel for party food.
Costs with a half hour ride is £15 and £20 if require to ride for a hour. Price includes party food.

Romantic Picnic Rides:
Romantic ride over scenic countryside stopping off for a luxury hamper of champers, strawberrys and lunch. Hamper supplied by Kingarth Hotel. Inclusive price of £60 per person.

INCLUSIVE RIDING HOLIDAYS STAYING AT KINGARTH HOTEL:

1 night dinner bed and breakfast and packed lunch with 4 hours riding over 2 days is October to March £90, April to September £120.

2 nights dinner bed and breakfast and packed lunch with 6 hours riding over 3 days is October to March £160, April to September £210.
